Has your February been fantastic? I sure hope so. To round off this month’s blog posts I have a fancy little favourites number for you. If you haven’t already then feel free to view my ‘2015 Favourites’ and ‘January Favourites’, of course, not before the completion of reading this one!

Collection Primed & Ready – Pore Minimiser 1
I’ve only ever used two face primers before therefore please bear in mind that I’m no expert. This has definitely been my favourite of the two, however! I use this with my fingers to gently smooth over my skin and have found it to have an exceptionally silky texture of which doesn’t feel in any way clogged up, with a very light consistency. After an effortless application, this then provides an even base for other cosmetics and does as it claims by reducing the appearance of large pores. Included in the ingredients is witch hazel, of which has anti-blemish properties. This primer has a matte finish and I love how sleek the rest of my make-up application feels after using this product.

Collection Primed & Ready – Eye Primer 1
This is described as illuminating and reviving and I can indeed confirm this to be 100% correct. It lightens up the eyes whilst producing an incredibly refreshed feeling, making otherwise tired eyes then feel wide awake and ready for the day ahead. Only a very small amount of product is needed, it comes out of the tube white but of course this is nothing to be concerned with as it soaks into the skin. Shadows and other eye products apply infinitely easier when using this primer as a base and it combats any creasing, uneven product distribution and shifting of pigments.

P.S, Love Make-Up Fixing Spray
My first impressions of this can be found on ‘First Impression Reviews: P.S, Love Range’. This is an easy to use and quick spray for setting make-up in place, before this I hadn’t used a setting spray and as a result I don’t have anything to compare this to. I’ve definitely been enjoying using this, though. Although it were such a cheap price and I weren’t really expecting much it’s actually been a great investment for me. It doesn’t leave me with a clogged up feeling, it’s simple to use and does it’s job well, setting my face in place for longer periods of time. Nothing budges when I have this on, it’s great! Like I said on my first impression the taste isn’t appreciated (the product finds its way in via my lip piercing), though I’ve since got a little more used to guarding my mouth until the spray has settled.

P.S, Love Liquid Foundation Brush
If you already read about this on my post ‘Money = Shopping, Shopping = Happiness’ then you will know that I were hoping that this brush would prove to be on par with an old brush from the P.S, Love range, which has since broken in multiple places. I’m ecstatic to verify that this brush is indeed just as adored as the last one, if not more! It feels sturdier than my old one and other’s in my collection, this is definitely my go to brush for applying concealer and foundation. I can’t fault it. I’m tempted to buy more purely to avoid panic in the future when needing a new one. I’ve found this brush to be well made and the application is fine because if you know how best to apply make up, then any potential for streaking is completely avoided.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – Fair 1
I needed a concealer as my previous one is considerably close to empty. Rather than having my usual Ivory shade in stock of the P.S, Love Under Eye Concealer, were instead ‘Tan’. This quite clearly weren’t going to work for me, therefore I needed another option. I’d heard great things before about the Lasting Perfection Concealer from the Collection brand, therefore took myself off to Boots. I got mine in the shade ‘Fair 1’ which appears to be spot on and very quickly this has become my ultimate concealer. It has an amazing medium to high coverage and is a thick product whilst somehow managing to not clog the pores or feel cakey. I always use a patting motion with my brush for this product as swiping it across the skin will require using more and risk an uneven coverage. If used correctly then barely any product is needed to eradicate any blemishes, although quick work is needed with this as it dries quickly, with a flawless matte finish.

George Silk Finish Pressed Powder – No. 02 Nude
Previously I’ve always been a Collection kinda girl for my finishing powder, not any more. I’ve actually had the George Silk Finish since last year and have recently realised how great this product is. A week or so ago, I re-purchased the Collection Pressed Powder (this made an appearance in the post ‘I Solemnly Swear that I am up to No Good’), I got this in my usual shade ‘01 Candelight’ but it seems to be so much darker than it used to be. In the winter months the George Silk Finish is definitely better matched to my skin, also I have found the Collection Pressed Powder to feel much heavier on my face than the George SF. George Silk Finish is a very soft and light product, it really does feel like silk. A light handed dusting of product will mattify and set make up adequately, whilst soaking up any excess oils.

Bourjois Blush Pot – 85 Sienne
This also made an appearance in my ‘2015 Favourites’ but I have to include it again here as I have been using it so often recently. The packaging is a very well made compact pot, complete with mirror and blush brush. This product is perfumed and smells absolutely gorgeous. The pigmentation is considerable whilst both buildable and easy to blend, ensuring the exact required result. There are no hidden sparkles, what you see is what you get and this is again, a matte finish.

Make-Up Revolution London Pressed Highlighter – Hidden Lights
Here we have a product from what is probably my favourite drugstore brand. Make-Up Revolution London have the most remarkably pigmented products, Hidden Lights is no exception to this and is of a suitable brightness. This product is a little sparkly yet still creates a stunning and natural glow! Hidden Lights were also in my post ‘Magical Make-Up Mysteries’.

Model’s Own Nail Polish – NP241 Chrome Green
For more information on this product please see my post ‘My Model’s Own Experience’, where I talk about this in a little more detail. Stylish, classy, fast drying and both a unique finish and colour, this nail polish is utterly sensational! I need ALL of the chrome finish polishes in my life, I am helplessly hypnotized.

Cuffed Leg Joggers x3
I adore these, all of them. I need more in my life in a larger variety of colours. They’re so comfortable and they all have cuffed legs which are perfect for a short thing like myself. More information can be found about all of these in the posts ‘Money = Shopping, Shopping = Happiness’ and ‘I Solemnly Swear I am up to No Good’, as can the below pyjamas.

Snuggle Pyjamas
These are the most comfortable pyjamas I have ever experienced, I could quite honestly live in them full time, they’re amazing. Most days the first thing I’ll do once I arrive home from work is to get back into these beauties! I acquired these from Primark, although if you read the original haul post then you’ll already know that!

All That Glitters – Vicky Pattison
44 Charles Street – Danielle Steel

Lindt Limited Edition – Strawberries and Cream
What a better way to finish this off with none other than the best chocolates I have ever sampled! Lindt are my ultimate favourite anyway, they have however even excelled themselves! I would be unable to describe these without drooling. Due to being limited edition I of course have had to stock pile these whilst still having the chance!

Uh oh. I may be developing an obsession for shopping again! In the past week or so I have been to my local Asda store on another book binge, as well as having a mini spending spree with my friend, Riley, last week. If you wish to uncover the magic within this haul then simply grab a butterbeer and fly further into the post!

Asda
First up is Asda, this includes both my local store and the larger store of which I visited with Riley. I thoroughly enjoyed leisurely wandering through the larger store as there is of course much more space and numerous items stocked, therefore resulting in a considerably broader scope for choice. Obviously a paperback blowout had to occur, though I did manage to reign myself in long enough to purchase other assets also!

Lindt Limited Edition Strawberries and Cream – £3.50
My favourite chocolate brand, with Valentine’s Day being yesterday I just HAD to get myself some of these beauties, I of course picked up a second box also, as a little Valentine’s treat for my Mom. I could have never let a limited edition Lindt go without sampling it first! Since I’m celebrating Valentine’s Day with my Mom today, I will be sampling these in the evening during a Bridget Jones and take away binge, I can’t contain my elation!

PJ Bottoms – £6
These are quite possibly the fluffiest and cuddliest pyjama bottoms I have ever felt, I’m entirely smitten with these. Not only are they incredibly comfortable but have you seen how pretty they are? These can be purchased online in a different length leg, I find this to be really helpful for those of which are taller than me, although these are just right for my short ass!

Primark
Riley and I made a ‘quick’ stop off at Primark, despite the fact the poor lad hates the place. He surely loves me for putting him through this form of personal torture time and time again. I’ve almost ran out of my P.S, Love under eye concealer, therefore only wanted to pop in and out briskly with the intention of purchasing a new one. Unfortunately they only had them in the shade ‘tan’ which is far too dark for the under eye area in my opinion, and is generally way too dark for my face at the minute – we’re still in winter after all! I were disappointed that there were no ivory shade but I instead spent my money on a collection of other items!

Playsuit – £5
I adore these types of playsuits and find myself buying more in a range of patterns every year. Primark always do them and they fit perfectly, they’re loose enough to provide space and breeziness for warm, summer weather, whilst cinching in at the waist to add shape. The material is very lightweight which as I say, is perfect for the more pleasurable weather!

Joggers – £9
These are super comfortable, just like my other recent pairs. These are also a unique colour which I adore (the picture has unfortunately not brought the correct colour out, they are a green tinted turquoise) and have “Brooklyn New York” printed vertically on the left leg. As anyone that knows me (or reads my blog) will already be aware, anything American I happen to adore, harbouring a particular fascination with Brooklyn.

Workout Vest – £5
Due to continuing with my recent health kick, so far, I figured I were allowed a treat directly pertaining to the current weight loss. Whilst this vest is the perfect example of the achievements and hard work, it’s also made from a lightweight and airy material and is in a colour I happen to appreciate. This simply had to come home with me. The slogan “excuses don’t burn calories” is a simple yet productive and motivational reminder to stick to my plan and continue seeing results from doing so. This vest is appropriate for being used for both general use and workouts.

Elephant Tee – £6
Another obsession is of course elephants and the colour of this tee is distinct whilst being a colour I don’t already own. In general I find this tee to be attractive to the eye, I love this and it were evidently affordable. There will be sufficient use from this tee.

Hogwarts Pyjamas – £7
What is not to love about these? They’re maybe a little inadequate in relation to the weather at this current moment, depending of course on a different person’s home and heating levels. Regardless they’re perfect for the summer and they’re quite frankly, adorable. I had to have them as soon as I saw them. They’re a mixture between pyjamas and underwear, providing ample space and movement. These days Primark tend to merchandise PJs separately ,which can be a huge pain when you consider the prices added up. These were together though, being a slight shock in itself, especially when added to the fact that it’s Harry Potter. It were a welcome discovery indeed.

Hogwarts Socks Pack of 3 – £2.50
Yes, more Harry Potter – and I love it! I don’t have much to say on these aside from the fact they’re awesome, there’s three lots of them, they’re standard length, Harry Potter themed and did I mention awesome?

Albus Dumbledore Quote Tee – £7
I’m smitten with this for so many reasons. Firstly it’s again, Harry Potter themed, and Albus is epic. Secondly it’s made in my current favourite colour and thirdly, the quote from Albus is incredible. It’s 99% definite that it’s my all time, preferred HP quote, it’s both profound and inspirational.

USB Powerbank Keyring – £6
A very practical purchase! I constantly find my phone dying on me right at the most crucial times. A while ago Riley suggested that I invest in a powerbank, he has one and he told me all about it, it sounded pretty good. The thing is, I’m hopeless when it comes to remembering things, I of course kept forgetting to search online for one. When discovering this by chance in Primark it were obvious that I needed to buy it. I think it’s probably a rather lame thing for me to say, but I’m actually excited to use this. For those of who are reading about one of these for the first time, this particular one will apparently work with any camera or phone that has a USB port, Riley has said that his powerbank typically gives him around 50% charge though this probably depends largely on which device is being charged, also the health of the battery initially. These are simple to use, the powerbank firstly needs charging, using the USB method, this could either be via another device, such as a laptop, or through a usb connector plugged into an electrical socket. Once it’s been fully charged you are then able to use this to charge your device and all that needs to be done is to connect the powerbank to your phone/camera also via the usb cable. Simple and effective. All I need to do now is remember to take my usb cable and powerbank with me literally everywhere.

Boots
As a result of Primark failing to have the shade ‘Ivory’ in the P.S, Love under eye concealer, I of course needed to then take a quick trip elsewhere. I remembered that a number of people have had a fantastic experience of using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, therefore presenting me with an ideal opportunity to test this out for myself. With that, I headed straight towards the nearest Boots with the intention of seeking out Collection. Unfortunately I can’t remember the prices of these items and have been unable to detect my receipt, they were however nice and cheap. There may have been offers on, too. Considering that I’ll be providing a review of these items at a later date, I will simply list the products, for now.

Hello there my beautiful! Today is a pretty simple post, my collection of empty cosmetics! As I’ve been looking for things in my bedroom I keep coming across more and more empty products, not realising just how many there are. Due to it being the end of the year and wanting to start off 2016 with a fresh and tidy room (that will be the day), I figured I’d get this post done before chucking everything away! Please do read on for my opinions on the following products.

Paco Rabanne Black XS
Beautiful scent, it really is. I have acquired and stocked up on so many different fragrances during the years that I’ve either forgotten about some or simply avoided the ones I aren’t so keen on. This is definitely a perfume I’d use again. I received it as a gift at some point and it typically retails at approximately £40 for the 50ml bottle, a little pricier and there are some absolutely amazing fragrances a lot cheaper out and about. This is absolutely a good investment however. I’d love to tell you that I can remember exactly how it smelled, I’d be lying though.. As I currently have the scent of Vivienne Westwood Boudoir floating around my nostrils (which is also gorgeous, may I add.) For a larger name I’d say that Black XS is a welcome treat for anybody.

Vivienne Westwood Let It Rock
My all time favourite scent, which literally shatters my heart to know that it’s been discontinued. There’s the smallest bit left in the bottle as I simply can’t bring myself to finish it, not yet. I have yet to find something to rival this and I’m utterly destroyed knowing it will be so hard and so expensive to acquire this again. Let It Rock used to retail for much lower before and is still being sold on Amazon (who knows how long for), for the very large sum of around the £100 mark!

Charlie Body Sprays in Chic and Pink
These are great sprays and handy to have around. I always have a Charlie spray knocking about at my place, with so many different variations to choose from there’s likely to be something for everyone. Nice and cheap and they do the job. My personal favourite out of the two above has to be Chic.

P.S, Love Lashes Sultry
I’m not entirely sure if I should be classing false eyelashes as an ‘empty’, but the box is just that! I use these exact lashes all the time, they’re definitely my favourites so far out of lashes I’ve played around with and at £1 you can’t really go wrong compared to more expensive brands. They stay on well so long as you know how to apply lashes successfully!

Nivea Express Hydration Primer
This year is the first time I’d used this and I’d picked it up because it were on offer. It’s the first time I’ve used any primer in fact, therefore I aren’t an expert on these – I’d love to sample more! I found this to have a great consistency for my face as it were light and didn’t feel as though it clogged up my pores at all, I were initially worried about any primer having the potential to make me feel clogged up. On the box it boasts instant absorption and I have to confirm this to be correct. I were really happy with this item, it felt as though I were applying my make up much better and I only needed to use a small amount of product which resulted in the primer lasting the majority of this year.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid – NW13
This is my go to foundation, though I typically get stuck on using the same foundation for long periods of time if I’m happy with them but I could really do with trying something else out for the winter months. After using this for a long time I’d probably consider it to be medium coverage but it’s buildable. It does mattify once blended in however it can get a little oily throughout the day so I always wear a light powder over the top to set my make-up. I’ve found it works great with this and if I need to I can add a little more throughout the day. I work in a fast food company, essentially one huge kitchen where it’s incredibly warm – with regard to this the durability of the foundation is fantastic!

Collection Pressed Powder – 01 Candelight
All time favourite setting powder to date, cheap and cheerful! It’s really light on the face and lasts forever! It does the job splendid, better than many high end setting powders! As you can see, I use a lot of these!

Virgin Cosmetics Blush and Bronze Palette
I got given this many years ago by my niece and as you can see it’s not been fully used up yet, although in one of the bronze pans there’s an incredibly little amount of product left! I have a habit of barely using something once I know it’s about to run out. This is a great palette, it does the job nicely, there’s a standard bronzer (the almost used up one), then another with a slight shimmer. The blushers blend nicely together and it does the trick. I use the shimmery bronzer often as a slight overlay over the top of my base contour for my cheekbones! It doesn’t feel cakey and it’s buildable, this can also be very subtle if applied lightly.

P.S, Love Volumising Extra Black Mascara
This is my go to mascara and has been for a while, it’s cheap and does the trick nicely. I use a couple of layers of this purely because I really like my lashes to stand out especially when I aren’t using false lashes. Considering it’s so cheap it really makes a difference to the appearance of my lashes and finishes off my make-up looks just the way I like. It has a sufficient amount of product inside and lasts quite a long time before starting to dry out!

P.S, Love Liquid Liner – Black
Last but not least, my liquid eyeliner. This stuff is a god send! I find eyeliner is so much easier when it’s liquid. It’s a lightly packaged item for fantastic ease of use and mobility. The product glides on almost effortlessly and lasts a long time. I’ve recently re-purchased one of these beauties and the empty one pictured here I’d been using since the start of this year! They’re cheap and do the job very well indeed, the only snag with this product I’d say is the fact that it can crack throughout the day/night. I find this is easily solved however by applying the smallest amount of product over the top to fill this in.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, I find ‘empties’ to be really informative because the way I see it, a product must be pretty good if it’s been completely used up therefore it doubles up as a kind of review or recommendation of the item at the same time. So I’ve been delving through the archives of many a beauty blogger and recently re-stumbled upon a cosmetics tag from the lovely Louise – Sprinkle Of Glitter! To some, a tag may seem like an easy way out of a ‘proper’ blog post, however many can be both enjoyable and informative and I feel this short but sweet piece also doubles up as a pretty nifty review of sorts taking into consideration these are my ‘most used’ cosmetic items of choice. Without further ado, lets commence!

1. Most worn lipstick/lipgloss: Probably MAC – Viva Glam due to it’s sufficient longevity. The shade of choice is purely down to it being both my only MAC lipstick currently and my adoration of a red lip! I am anticipating some additions to my lipstick collection however as it’s very lacking.

2. Most worn eyeliner: I always wear two, Rimmel London Kohl Liner – Pure White 071 and P.S, Love Kohl Liner – Black, although if I had to choose only one for some inane reason then it would be the Rimmel and I’d instead settle for using some shadow below my bottom waterline.

3. Most worn mascara: P.S, Love Volumising Ultra Black Mascara

4. Most worn eye-shadow: My Make-Up Revolution London Ultimate Eye-shadow Collection palette steals the show here, I adore it and almost always opt for a combination of shades from this. Choosing one however it has to be the shimmery white, of which I’ve zoomed in on below, as I use this in the corners of my water line and to highlight my brow bone.

5. Most worn concealer: I’ve recently changed the concealer I use and now can’t get enough of it, this is the P.S, Love Liquid Concealer in Ivory.

6. Most worn foundation: MAC Studio Fix Fluid in the shade NW13. I have been using this for so long, although on ‘good skin days’ I’ll opt for a BB creme instead if I aren’t going to any events of great excitement or importance. I need a new ‘winter’ foundation as this doesn’t work particularly well for me as the seasons change, drying out my skin and creating flakes. Any recommendations you have for combination skin do feel free to share.

7. Most worn (finishing) powder: Collection 2000 – Candelight 01, although I am currently using a George substitute in the shade nude 02, which works just as well.

8. Most worn blush: Virgin Cosmetics blush and bronzer palette, I got this from my niece and it has lasted me for literally years it has such an incredible amount of product and is well pigmented. One of the blusher pans I have almost completely used up but pictured below is the combination I currently use. This would be a different answer however if I still owned my Bourjois – 85 Sienne which sadly got lost in a club. I loved that little buddy of mine!

9. Most worn bronzer: Primark’s Sunkissed eyeshadow and bronzer palette – there is only one bronzer in this and I love it, I do often double up by using the Virgin Cosmetics blush and bronzer palette (pictured above) for particular areas however.

10. Most worn nail polish: I literally can’t provide a solid answer to this as I don’t consistently use only one or even a limited few polishes. I have so many to choose from and like to have a versatile rotation with this type of product, I will say though that if I were to pick a favourite it would likely be my glittery little number by Angelica in the shade Asteroid.
