I’m aware that I’ve posted quite an amount of Q&A’s/Tag posts recently, I do hope they aren’t boring for you, although due to things being so crazily busy for me right now I figured that today would be a great time for another one. A good friend of mine tagged me in this on Facebook and what is a better way of completing it, than by blogging this rather than clogging up my Facebook news feed! I were intending for today to be a requested post regarding my recent weight loss, I’d rather give it a little more time though. I hope you will continue reading and get to know me a little more.

1. Are you single?
Indeed I am.

2. Are you crushing on anyone?
Can’t say I am, no.

3. What is your favourite food?
TOO MUCH CHOICE! It constantly changes depending on what I’ve consumed or not recently, at the moment I’m obsessed with chocolate and cookies.

4. What’s your favourite colour?
Purple, for now.

5. Which music genre is your favourite?
I enjoy many but rock is my preferred choice.

6. What is your favourite band/artist?
The Calling/Alex Band, Blink-182, Arctic Monkeys

7. Do you have any talents?
Hmm, I’m not very good at picking up on my own talents. You’d be better asking other people, maybe that’s something that could be discussed in the comments? I’d like to think that I portray talent within my writing.

8. Are you in love?
Not currently, thankfully.

9. What are your hobbies?
Reading, writing, crafts, drawing, sewing, swimming, gym, gaming, blogging, machinima, music, singing, ice skating, bowling, playing pool and I’m probably missing some.

10. Are you a gamer?
Very much so, mostly a Sims addict but I’ll play anything and on any device. I love retro games and actually use my PS1 the most, aside from my laptop and phone.

11. Are you swag/emo/scene?
I’m merely myself, I were stereotyped as emo in my high school days, though.

12. Do you have long or short hair?
Long, I’ve been growing it for a while after getting it cut into some type of pixie cut in June 2011.

13. What is your height?
5 foot 4 inch, approximately.

14. Which do you prefer, jacket or hoodie?
It depends on the outfit but I use hoodies to keep warm inside as well as to wear when leaving the house.

15. What is your eye colour?
Brown.

16. What is your hair colour?
Also brown, really dark though. I were also born with a blonde streak in my hair which is my birth mark. It’s got darker throughout the years though and is now more visible in the summer months.

17. What is the colour of the shirt you’re currently wearing?
I’m wearing my PJ top, it’s gunmetal grey and coral – you can view it on my post ‘Money = Shopping, Shopping = Happiness’.

18. Do you prefer jeans or shorts?
Either, again it depends on the rest of the outfit. The weather and temperature has a lot to do with preference, too. I probably prefer wearing shorts purely because I find jeans can often feel rather uncomfortable.

19. Do you want to get married?
This is something that surprises and sometimes angers people to find out, but no.

20. Do you want to have kids?
Yeah, loads of the angelic gremlins!

21. Would you get divorced?
I don’t intend on getting married but if I were to do so then I’d want that to be a lifelong thing, isn’t that the whole point of marriage?

22. Have you ever or still do wet the bed?
I have done as a child, one of the drawbacks of growing up with delusional nut jobs in the family and being bullied pretty much 24/7, fun times.

23. Have you had or currently have depression?
I suffer from depression and anxiety, I have done since childhood.

24. Do you daydream?
Almost constantly, I often zone out when I’m supposed to be focusing on something else. If I have nothing of which needs my immediate attention then I drift off a considerable amount more.

25. How often do you have thoughts of food?
99.9% of the time. I love food, it’s the best creation, ever. This is non disputable.

26. Name someone you love?
I could write you a huge list! Lets keep it simple though and leave it at my Mom, Echo, Eden and Jeremiah.

27. Name someone you hate?
There’s an incredibly thin line between love and hate. I don’t hate anybody, if there’s someone that I dislike then that’s as far as it would go, why have so much feeling for a person who isn’t important?

28. What is your dream job?
Oh this one is easy – author.

29. Do you have tattoos?
Not yet but I should be getting my first later this year.

30. Do you have piercings?
Indeed I do. My ears, belly button and lip.

31. What were the worst day of your life?
There’s an epic list of contenders for this but I’ll go with the day my Granny died. Ten years in September and things have never been the same.

32. What were the best day of your life?
I’m not sure that I can say what the best day of my life is, I’m going to choose the weekend I spent in Manchester with friends, though. The first day myself, Sophie and Emma went for spray tans then got picked up by our friend Becca, who then took us to a hotel we had booked in Manchester. We left our stuff there then went out and did some shopping at the Trafford Centre until later in the night. After getting dropped back off at the hotel the three of us hung out and had an early night for the next day when we went to X-Factor auditions at Old Trafford. We spent all day there, making new friends and having fun, before making our way back home to Leeds and finishing off the epic weekend with drinks at Emma’s house, with more of our friends. We were younger then and I’d felt so free and void of worries, it were perfection.

33. What is your biggest fear?
The obvious – losing my Mom.

34. What is your worst habbit?
Probably my self-abhorrence.

Alreet pet! Another book review installment for you today! I saw this whilst browsing the shelves at my local Asda and although it sounded pretty good, I were still feeling dubious. This is due to being a book by Vicky Pattison from Geordie Shore, and whilst never really giving the show a fair chance, my opinions of it aren’t all together very high. Uncertainty aside, for my honest opinions on this here fictional account of reality TV, exploring fame, friendships, family, romantic relationships, loyalty and betrayal, then please do continue to peruse this post.

I were first struck, of course, by the cover. I found the eye catching, bright pink display to be very girly yet also fashionable, producing an attractive and luring result. The next step I took were naturally, to read the blurb, and this is what lead me to buying the book regardless of my initial thoughts on where the author had emerged from with regards to reality TV. The blurb is delivered faultlessly with wonder and intrigue from the off, instantly pulling you further in, finding yourself wondering what is going to happen to Issy’s character on her journey throughout the exhilarating opportunity she’s been presented with. It appeared to me as being an easy read and typical of what’s often marketed as a ‘guilty pleasure’ or a perfect read for holiday makers. I instantly thought of the glitz and glam of the plot as somewhat similar to a Katie Price novel, with this noted and my love for KP’s novels – I had to take a chance. It shows how well written a book’s description is, when it converts cynics.

All That Glitters got off to a great start with me hooked in the first chapter. The story had already provided me with amusement and showcased the first big dilemma. It were shaping up to be a fun and easy read, indeed, the perfect form of escape within my head, charged with elation and adventure. Not only were the story line and dialogue providing great satisfaction, but similarly, the characters. I found them to be well written and to come across as real people, of which were all incredibly unique. This made for a powerful hook as different personalities both coincided and clashed against one another, inspiring the notion that anything could happen both within the plot and between individuals. Each persona were shown in an eminently every day and natural way achieving the portrayal of considerable relevance to reality.

Although in some ways this story reminded me of some I have previously read, it were also evidently entirely unique to any other, with fresh, very modern and authentic plot lines. I found it to be extremely amusing, thoroughly hilarious in parts, in fact. This were also enjoyable and the excitement continued to build throughout the book. This is a definite mood booster of which I were unable to put down, from start to finish I were hooked to the differing themes of friendship, family, love, success, hardships and betrayal. A light were shone on the importance of looking out for yourself and not being too keen to trust people so eagerly. I do have to say however that quality editing and proof reading is SO important in a book. There is a part, for example, on page 159, where a sentence is so completely muddled that it makes zero sense. “And I don’t Mia her to know that she can make me that angry again.” Fortunately it’s not difficult to figure out what this should have read as, although it can be quite baffling when first reading an error such as this one. This of course doesn’t reflect on the book, plot, storyline or general enjoyment, this is only an editing fault.

Conclusively, I loved this book. The characters were unique, as were the electric story line, it were undoubtedly relevant to the modern day as we know it, with usage of Twitter within the dialogue. I would unquestionably recommend this to a friend and to you, my reader. I’d go as far to say that this is one of my book favourites for the year so far. It goes to show that a book should not be judged by it’s cover, or, you know.. By it’s author and their primary career choice.

I haven’t done a first impression review before, therefore please take into account that my first thoughts may change and differ slightly in time, depending on how I may use certain products and such. I recently picked up a few items from Primark’s P.S, Love range and thought it would be a good idea to share my findings with you. If you haven’t already, then you can view the post ‘Money = Shopping, Shopping = Happiness’ to check out some of the things I bought and the prices. Now all that’s left to do is sit back and read my first impressions!

P.S, Love Blush & Highlight Duo – Pink Rose
I didn’t know what to expect from any of my purchases however with this being a more cream based product I weren’t anticipating too much from it, usually I hate the feel of any form of creamy texture in cosmetics as they feel so sticky and cakey. I have to say however that this weren’t as creamy as I preempted it to be and actually doesn’t feel repulsive to have on my skin at all. Both the blush and highlight have a significantly pleasing pigmentation, with the highlight being extremely noticeable. Also with regards to both the texture and application, it goes on easily and blends well, although can become a little chalky and cracked if not applied with consideration. The blush is exceptionally bright but with a little blending it is able to be toned down to the desired intensity. The packaging is both stylish and attractive and being in a stick it’s very easy to use and apply, there’s a satisfactory amount of product, too. Judging by these points this is something I would buy again, even if only for the highlighter, as for me the only negative is the cracking.

P.S, Love Metallic Eyeshadow Cream
This comes in a small pot with ample product (6g), there’s something highly enjoyable about screwing on and off the lids of these pots, which isn’t important – but even so. From a quick and light swatch it doesn’t appear to be very pigmented however when using a little more product and with a brush, this observation changes. The pigmentation quite surprised me and results in a lovely brown/taupe shade on the lid. Again the creamy consistency coaxed me into believing that this would be an inferior product and I can say that again this weren’t quite as creamy as I had anticipated. It were still sticky due to the cream base, although this feeling dissipated a little after it settled. It looked beautiful when first applied and is especially easy to blend, although, after wearing this for even a short while it starts to smudge out and crease. The colour is lovely and will compliment most looks, the packaging is again stylish, and purely because it’s so inexpensive I’d probably consider buying this in other colours if there were to be any. I have to add that I didn’t use a primer with this therefore that could potentially affect the outcome.

P.S, Love Your Nails – Nail Polish Fast Dry Spray
This were quick and easy to apply, being a spray. I do have to say that I weren’t in a rush when testing this out therefore I did leave it a few minutes before checking to see if my nails had dried, on the can it does say to leave it for 60 seconds before touching the nail. They definitely dried much faster than that of usual, though. A lot comes out therefore hardly any needs to be used, this will last for a long time. I noticed that there’s a slight scent but this isn’t anything off putting or overpowering in any way, it feels a little strange on the hands and makes them very wet, therefore I’d advice not needing to touch anything until the nails are dry in order to be able to then wash the hands before doing anything else. On the packaging it states that this leaves a glossy finish of which I can confirm, I were using a top coat anyway therefore I can’t say if this would have differed had I not used the top coat, there were also a chalky residue left in some places however this could have been because of over use. This product were cheap, it’s easy to use and does the job of which it is intended for. Due to these reasons I’d definitely use and buy this again, the chalky residue may cease to occur once I’m a little more used to using the product.

P.S, Love Nail Polish in ‘Melba’ and ’88’
Both of these are stunning shades and after painting my nails I discovered to my amusement that I were matching my PJs! I feel that both would dry quite slowly had it not been for using my nail drying spray afterwards, although I find this to be the case with most nail polishes. The gunmetal grey shade ‘88’ is noticeably thick and gloopy therefore be sure to use this sparingly. It does mean of course that a little polish goes a very long way, proving to be even greater value for money! Melba has a much thinner consistency to 88 and can become patchy with a lack of attention. These of course aren’t to the standards of my beloved Model’s Own, I would however definitely buy more nail polishes from the P.S, Love range and have done time and time again. There’s always an amazing range of different colours and for an incredibly cheap price. If these are used with a base and top coat then chipping is prevented. I would definitely recommend popping into Primark to stock up on a new collection of colours!

P.S, Love Make-Up Fixing Spray
I’m not quite sure what it smells of but this smells nice, it has a very fresh scent. Make-up feels to be set well when using this although having not used a setting spray before now I’m unsure how this would stand against other lower priced setting sprays. I’ve noticed that this gets inside my lip piercing and has an undesirable taste. It’s quite off putting but I try to cover my mouth as best I can, anyway. This is a useful and cheap product, I’d definitely purchase this again as it does the job and is a bargain buy.

I hope these first impressions have proven to be useful to you, as I said above, my opinions may change on these products and differ with more use. These are only my very first impressions of the products and I hope that I’ve covered everything but if there’s something else you’d like to know please do ask me. Have you tried any of these before? Uh oh. I may be developing an obsession for shopping again! In the past week or so I have been to my local Asda store on another book binge, as well as having a mini spending spree with my friend, Riley, last week. If you wish to uncover the magic within this haul then simply grab a butterbeer and fly further into the post!

Asda
First up is Asda, this includes both my local store and the larger store of which I visited with Riley. I thoroughly enjoyed leisurely wandering through the larger store as there is of course much more space and numerous items stocked, therefore resulting in a considerably broader scope for choice. Obviously a paperback blowout had to occur, though I did manage to reign myself in long enough to purchase other assets also!

Lindt Limited Edition Strawberries and Cream – £3.50
My favourite chocolate brand, with Valentine’s Day being yesterday I just HAD to get myself some of these beauties, I of course picked up a second box also, as a little Valentine’s treat for my Mom. I could have never let a limited edition Lindt go without sampling it first! Since I’m celebrating Valentine’s Day with my Mom today, I will be sampling these in the evening during a Bridget Jones and take away binge, I can’t contain my elation!

PJ Bottoms – £6
These are quite possibly the fluffiest and cuddliest pyjama bottoms I have ever felt, I’m entirely smitten with these. Not only are they incredibly comfortable but have you seen how pretty they are? These can be purchased online in a different length leg, I find this to be really helpful for those of which are taller than me, although these are just right for my short ass!

Primark
Riley and I made a ‘quick’ stop off at Primark, despite the fact the poor lad hates the place. He surely loves me for putting him through this form of personal torture time and time again. I’ve almost ran out of my P.S, Love under eye concealer, therefore only wanted to pop in and out briskly with the intention of purchasing a new one. Unfortunately they only had them in the shade ‘tan’ which is far too dark for the under eye area in my opinion, and is generally way too dark for my face at the minute – we’re still in winter after all! I were disappointed that there were no ivory shade but I instead spent my money on a collection of other items!

Playsuit – £5
I adore these types of playsuits and find myself buying more in a range of patterns every year. Primark always do them and they fit perfectly, they’re loose enough to provide space and breeziness for warm, summer weather, whilst cinching in at the waist to add shape. The material is very lightweight which as I say, is perfect for the more pleasurable weather!

Joggers – £9
These are super comfortable, just like my other recent pairs. These are also a unique colour which I adore (the picture has unfortunately not brought the correct colour out, they are a green tinted turquoise) and have “Brooklyn New York” printed vertically on the left leg. As anyone that knows me (or reads my blog) will already be aware, anything American I happen to adore, harbouring a particular fascination with Brooklyn.

Workout Vest – £5
Due to continuing with my recent health kick, so far, I figured I were allowed a treat directly pertaining to the current weight loss. Whilst this vest is the perfect example of the achievements and hard work, it’s also made from a lightweight and airy material and is in a colour I happen to appreciate. This simply had to come home with me. The slogan “excuses don’t burn calories” is a simple yet productive and motivational reminder to stick to my plan and continue seeing results from doing so. This vest is appropriate for being used for both general use and workouts.

Elephant Tee – £6
Another obsession is of course elephants and the colour of this tee is distinct whilst being a colour I don’t already own. In general I find this tee to be attractive to the eye, I love this and it were evidently affordable. There will be sufficient use from this tee.

Hogwarts Pyjamas – £7
What is not to love about these? They’re maybe a little inadequate in relation to the weather at this current moment, depending of course on a different person’s home and heating levels. Regardless they’re perfect for the summer and they’re quite frankly, adorable. I had to have them as soon as I saw them. They’re a mixture between pyjamas and underwear, providing ample space and movement. These days Primark tend to merchandise PJs separately ,which can be a huge pain when you consider the prices added up. These were together though, being a slight shock in itself, especially when added to the fact that it’s Harry Potter. It were a welcome discovery indeed.

Hogwarts Socks Pack of 3 – £2.50
Yes, more Harry Potter – and I love it! I don’t have much to say on these aside from the fact they’re awesome, there’s three lots of them, they’re standard length, Harry Potter themed and did I mention awesome?

Albus Dumbledore Quote Tee – £7
I’m smitten with this for so many reasons. Firstly it’s again, Harry Potter themed, and Albus is epic. Secondly it’s made in my current favourite colour and thirdly, the quote from Albus is incredible. It’s 99% definite that it’s my all time, preferred HP quote, it’s both profound and inspirational.

USB Powerbank Keyring – £6
A very practical purchase! I constantly find my phone dying on me right at the most crucial times. A while ago Riley suggested that I invest in a powerbank, he has one and he told me all about it, it sounded pretty good. The thing is, I’m hopeless when it comes to remembering things, I of course kept forgetting to search online for one. When discovering this by chance in Primark it were obvious that I needed to buy it. I think it’s probably a rather lame thing for me to say, but I’m actually excited to use this. For those of who are reading about one of these for the first time, this particular one will apparently work with any camera or phone that has a USB port, Riley has said that his powerbank typically gives him around 50% charge though this probably depends largely on which device is being charged, also the health of the battery initially. These are simple to use, the powerbank firstly needs charging, using the USB method, this could either be via another device, such as a laptop, or through a usb connector plugged into an electrical socket. Once it’s been fully charged you are then able to use this to charge your device and all that needs to be done is to connect the powerbank to your phone/camera also via the usb cable. Simple and effective. All I need to do now is remember to take my usb cable and powerbank with me literally everywhere.

Boots
As a result of Primark failing to have the shade ‘Ivory’ in the P.S, Love under eye concealer, I of course needed to then take a quick trip elsewhere. I remembered that a number of people have had a fantastic experience of using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, therefore presenting me with an ideal opportunity to test this out for myself. With that, I headed straight towards the nearest Boots with the intention of seeking out Collection. Unfortunately I can’t remember the prices of these items and have been unable to detect my receipt, they were however nice and cheap. There may have been offers on, too. Considering that I’ll be providing a review of these items at a later date, I will simply list the products, for now.

As it’s Valentine’s Day over the weekend I thought that it would be a perfect time for a post pertaining to this event and today I bring you a Valentine’s Q&A. I have collected some of the questions from various videos on YouTube and have added in some of my own. Basically I have mixed them up a little, I hope you enjoy this post as much as Valentine’s Day itself!

1. How would you describe love?
This is a question of which I don’t believe anybody will ever explain perfectly, it’s a feeling therefore meaning that it’s almost impossible to put into words and everybody will feel this in different ways unique to them and their situation. I think the best way I could sum it up would be to simply say, read The Notebook, or watch the film. Another amazing book to read would also be Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. I feel these will definitely give a person the answers to this particular question.

2. Have you ever been in love?
I have yes, thankfully I have moved on from that person and I’m no longer in the terrible state of which I once were. I will of course always have a special place in my heart for him, of which will never change. I took the positives with the negatives and nobody is ever perfect, but his imperfections were just as beautiful to me as the rest of him. It were a time in my life of which I will both never forget nor regret. It’s unfortunate that in the end we couldn’t remain friends, but I will always wish him well and think fondly of him.

3. Do you believe in love at first sight?
No. I do however believe in a spark, extreme instant connections of which are rather unfathomable and hard to articulate. This definitely helps aid the journey to loving that person or completely falling in love with them, but love is a feeling of which grows and deepens over time and throughout getting to know a person more.

4. Does age matter in love?
No, age is simply a number. Nothing more, nothing less. Of course there are laws and such regarding younger people, but anything that isn’t unlawful is completely fine. Who cares? It should only matter to the people involved.

5. Do looks matter in love?
In love, no. You can love your family members and friends and I’m sure you won’t put a clause on that stating they must be beautiful, or that you’d cease to love them if they were involved in an accident of which leaves them scarred or with any other visible imperfections. Looks do play a factor however in physical attraction, I believe this is something a relationship also needs as well as everything else, it just doesn’t play a huge part. Also physical attraction is of course something else of which is personal to individual people.

6. How do you avoid becoming jaded by love?
Tough one, I think it occurs naturally in the over all process of coming to terms with a break up or getting over somebody, although it’s something we must never hold on to. It can be hard but you have to think that not every situation will wind up the same as the one which has hurt you, not every person will be the same and behave in the same ways. Not everybody is going to hurt you. If you already have self respect and confidence in the knowledge that everything will work out in the end, then that will go a long way into the healing process. Keep yourself busy and cultivate a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle where a partner would only enhance your happiness rather than be relied on for it. When you are fully over a person I believe it helps to eradicate any negative residue, practice looking after yourself and accept a situation for what it is, no matter how hard that may be. Sometimes we can glamourise a situation and build it up to be something better than it really were, try seeing things exactly how they were and this should help to rationalise and put everything into perspective.

7. Who was your first love as a child/teenager?
As a child? Ha ha, Alex Band. Okay, maybe not love, but a life long celebrity crush, none the less. My actual first love were my ex boyfriend, we became a couple in 2008 when I were 16 years old. I don’t really know what else to say on this point.

8. What would you describe your perfect man like?
Alex Band of course! Okay, in all seriousness, over the years I have had a somewhat obsession for blonde guys with blue eyes. Thankfully I aren’t quite as superficial as that now. Physicalities aren’t important and I don’t typically have a ‘type’, of course physical attraction does have to play a part in the scenario, however I like a guy who’s compassionate, honest, intelligent, funny and somebody with ambition would be a sure winner, for me. I’m asking for way too much, aren’t I?

9. What is your favourite love quote?
I could probably pick out a million, but for now lets go with this one, shall we?

10. What are your thoughts on Valentine’s Day?
It’s okay I guess. I neither love or hate it. I feel that it’s a day created purely to be commercialised and make copious amounts of money from people. Everyone should be showing love and appreciation for their partners year round, not purely on a specified day. I guess it’s nice for the people who choose to celebrate it, though.

11. Have you ever had a Valentine before?
Can I count friends? Most years I have chosen to go out and spend time with friends, there’s only actually been one year where I’ve been in a relationship and we didn’t celebrate it on the day anyway, as we had argued. Either way yeah, I guess I have had.

12. Do you have a Valentine this year and what are your plans?
I don’t, so if anybody is secretly wanting to grab a date with me then now would be the time to ask ha ha! My current plans are to relax at home with my Valentine’s choccies, a brew, my current book and maybe a film. This could change though, my plans rarely follow the original course.

13. If you were to have a celebrity Valentine, who would it be and why?
Alex Band! Without a doubt. I have had my eye on him since the first time I spotted him on my TV when I were 5/6 years old. I’m now 24, yeah it’s been a rather lengthy celebrity crush, to say the least. Why? Well lets just say he’s certainly easy on the eye, is talented and his voice captivates me. From what I can gather of somebody I have never met, he seems as though he’d be a delightful person, too.

14. What is your ideal Valentine’s gift?
Something small but personal. It doesn’t have to be extortionate or the latest thing of which everybody is wanting. I’d much rather something that has needed thought putting into, even something made. We want to feel understood and valued, right? We all know I adore books, so maybe a well picked out book.

15. What is your favourite Valentine’s candy?
My favourite chocolate entirely is Lindt, I’ve seen some limited edition strawberries and cream flavour Lindt chocolates in my local Asda store, I’m buying these for myself and I have no doubts that they’ll be delicious.

16. What are your favourite Valentine’s Day flowers?
I aren’t overly keen on flowers as they die so quickly and that, to me, feels like such a shame. I’d much prefer a flowering plant, this way I can keep them for a long period of time. I’m not entirely clued up on different plants, so maybe something purple.

17. What would be your perfect date?
Something fun and unique. If there’s a hobby of which myself and the person both shared then that would be a nice idea, or trying out something entirely different would also work. I like walks and discovering new places so maybe venturing somewhere new and taking some snacks would be nice. I’d prefer something away from everybody else, where the focus could be purely on myself and that person.

18. What is your favourite Valentine’s Day make-up look?
It would differ depending on the outfit, but a smoky eye with a red lip is a strong contender for me.

19. What is the best way to spend Valentine’s Day if you’re single?
I think going out with other single friends is a great idea, it gets you out of the house so that you aren’t moping around feeling sorry for yourself. Who knows, you might even meet somebody special in the process. A cosy night in surrounded by all of your favourite things would also be amazing though, too. It depends on the person as an individual and their mind state at the time, it should definitely be spent doing something that the person enjoys, though.

20. What are your top tips for enjoying and surviving Valentine’s Day?
Remember that it’s just another day, like any other. If you’re single and feeling miserable then get out there and enjoy the day with friends, or indulge in yourself with a pamper session and partaking in your favourite hobbies. Buying yourself a treat is always a nice idea. If you’re in a relationship I think the best thing is to focus on enjoying the day and the time spent with your significant other. Don’t worry too much and build the day up to be something bigger than what it is, don’t take it too seriously. There’s also no need to be sucked into the commercialisation of it all, use the time to fully connect with your partner and treat them well. When gifting remember that you don’t need to go over the top and the best gifts are always the ones with the most thought, a great gift idea could also be to book tickets for an experience to embark upon together. Whatever you choose to do, be sure to be happy and enjoy it, single or not. Valentine’s is not the be all and end all, it’s simply just another day.

Hey! I had originally planned something different for today’s post but because of some very big changes this week I’ve simply not had the time to commit to my posts, unfortunately. It would crush me to have to miss a post, therefore I thought I’d do a little tag post today enabling you to get to know me a little more. I’d been planning on doing this a little later in the month anyway, as I realised I have been blogging now for four months yet have given away very little about myself. I love to read other people’s get to know me tags, after reading a blog for a while you start to feel as though you know the person behind it therefore, it seems only right that you should actually get to know more about THEM rather than simply their favourite make-up brands etc. To learn the dirt on me, grab a brew and some biscuits, get comfortable and continue reading.

1. Do you have a middle name?
Indeed I do, it’s Leigh.

2. What was your favourite subject in school?
Drama, without a doubt.

3. What’s your favourite drink?
It’s probably tea. For me there’s nothing more relaxing than getting snug in my pjs, with a brew, some chocolate and a good book. Bliss! (I drink Tetley’s, just for a little added information there.)

4. What’s your favourite song at the moment?
Arghh I have way too many, I wouldn’t even know where to start. Is this question some kind of a sick joke? I’ve been listening to Muse a lot again recently, lets go with Time Is Running Out. My favourites change depending on my mood though, too. This really is an impossible question.

5. What would you name your children?
I actually already have so many names planned out, I have had since I were around 16 years old. I really liked Scarlet-Lorraine, but friend’s of mine recently named their little girl Scarlet. I love names which aren’t heard often. Although I really like the boys name Darren. I love the name Davis used as a first name for either a boy or a girl, but, yeah. I can’t go with that for obvious reasons.

6. Do you participate in any sports?
I used to play badminton recreationally. I no longer play any sport, I keep active by going swimming and for walks instead.

7. What’s your favourite book?
Another impossible question!! I could write a book simply listing my favourites. I’ll narrow it down to three, and believe me, this is hard enough. The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks, The Host by Stephenie Meyer and Me Before You by Jojo Moyes.

8. What’s your favourite colour?
This constantly changes, too. At the minute I adore burgundy.

9. What’s your favourite animal?
I love every animal, I’ll have to go with elephants and rabbits, though. I’m not doing very well at just picking one, am I?

10. What’s your favourite perfume?
Vivienne Westwood – Let It Rock

11. What’s your favourite holiday?
My travels are rather limited, but from the places I’ve been to I have to say Ibiza.

12. Have you graduated from High School?
Indeed, I left High School in 2008. *Gulp* that makes me feel very old all of a sudden.

13. Have you been out of the country?
Yes I have, I’ve been to Scotland, Ibiza and Tenerife.

14. Do you speak any other languages?
I used to speak German as I learnt it at school, I’ve picked up little bits of both French and Spanish over the years, not enough to listen to or take part in a conversation, though. Does fluent alien-cyborg count?

15. Do you have any siblings?
I have a half brother and sister who are both older than me. Although it’s their father’s children of which I’m closer to and consider to be my siblings. With this in mind I have another older brother, a younger brother and a younger sister.

16. What’s your favourite store?
Probably Primark! I can always find something I love in there, from clothing to cosmetics, nightwear to underwear – it has everything I need under one roof. They maintain fast product rotation ensuring that they always stay relevant in the fashion world.

17. What’s your favourite restaurant?
I don’t tend to eat out much but I’ll say either Toby’s Carvery or Red Hot Buffet.

18. Do you like school?
I hated it with a passion. It were the best thing to ever happen, finally escaping it’s vice like clutches.

19. Who are some of your favourite YouTubers?
Sprinkle of Glitter and Shaaanxo

20. What’s your favourite movie?
Casper. Followed extremely close by The Notebook.

21. What are some of your favourite TV shows?
Now I get offered multiple choices when I actually have a singular answer. Emmerdale. Since I can say more though, I’ll go also with Coronation Street, Teen Mom and Escape to the Country (this includes other’s like it.)

22. PC or Mac?
PC.

23. What phone do you have?
HTC One M8 in Gunmetal Grey

24. How tall are you?
I’m only short, 5‘4.

25. Any pets?
I have a Syrian hamster named Jeremiah and two rabbits named Echo and Eden. They are my world, my pride and joy. Hopefully a dog will be added to my collection in a few months time.
