Hey hey! Today I have another update for you, however, this is one of which is a very exciting update indeed!


For the past month or so I have been in regular contact with a group of exceptionally lovely ladies and I’m delighted to be introducing Beauties on Fire, of which is a huge and especially exhilarating collaboration with a number of incredibly talented bloggers. They’re an absolutely fantastic bunch of ladies and I implore you to venture over to their blogs as soon as you have finished here. We will be working together to present you with individual and unique fashion and beauty posts on a weekly basis. Each week we will be involving readers through polls pertaining to the following weeks theme, so be sure to check us out on Twitter to join in with the fun, all contact links can be found further down this post. To welcome my own blog into this venture I’ll be answering some introductory questions below and also leaving links for my new friends involved in this project.

It’s evidently been a little while now since my last post and for those of whom follow me on Twitter and Facebook, the reason for this will be known , although due to not posting anything on here about it I wanted to update you on this today.

There’s no easy way of saying this and I hate having to write it, but a dear friend of mine passed away. Tom were genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve met and to have had the pleasure of befriending, he were intelligent, funny, caring and the most easy going of people. He were completely carefree and without a doubt the life and soul of any party. Being a healthy guy and at the young age of 26 years, it’s safe to say that this terrible news came as a huge shock to all of those which knew him. These past few weeks have been awful and it’s something that I still can’t get my head around, understandably I couldn’t handle blogging, finding that any motivation to do so or the inspiration of which to help me write my posts, had simply vanished.


Any loss gets you thinking about things and due to Tom being always such a happy individual together with the shock of the whole situation I of course found my mind to be in overdrive. Approximately a week and half before his death he’d invited me to hang out however it were late at night and I needed to be up incredibly early for work the next day therefore I of course turned down the invite, even though he had then asked to just have the one drink. This is something I’ve been beating myself up over since his death, despite there being no way I could have predicted this. It’s reminded me of the fact that all too often we get caught up in routine and duty whilst forgetting to truly live life. How many opportunities to do things and to enjoy time with loved ones would we make the most out of if not for the fact of mundane prioritising? This reminded me also of the need for many of us to stop putting other’s before ourselves so often, to stop missing out on things or failing to try new things based on what somebody else will think. Your life is yours and only yours, if you want something then you have to go for it, take chances and get out of your comfort zone because all too soon it could all be over. Do you want to reach the end only to regret not giving somebody a second chance, or wondering how different it could have all been had you pushed yourself toward the career of your dreams, to have travelled the world?  Live life to the full and unapologetically, be yourself and stay true to you. Life is often what you make it. Create so many amazing memories, as many as is possible and always remember to ensure that your loved ones know what they mean to you. Carpe Diem!

Hello again! Wow it feels like an eternity in which I were last posting here! As will be blatantly obvious to followers of this here blog, I haven’t posted anything for over the last few weeks. Anybody of which has also been keeping tabs on the YouTube channel will have noticed the fact that the channel has resembled a barren wasteland, too. So just what exactly has been occurring?


Firstly, YouTube. I haven’t thrown in the towel, although I am going to be leaving it a little while longer before I get going with more uploads. I've had so much to contend with already this year and I've been so incredibly busy that I've been unable to aim any focus towards the preparation for the channel and as anybody on YouTube will know, having a new channel and being a novice really does require some form of forward planning, being well equipped for the venture is something that I feel I would additionally need to strive towards. As I say there have been no towels thrown, the notion isn't abundant, simply on hold for a little while until the current chaos within my life settles slightly.

As for the blog, we can thank my utterly delightful (this is indeed sarcasm) internet provider for the privilege of this one! I did keep Twitter followers updated with this situation, however that’s the only social media platform in which I kept anybody aware. I couldn't get onto the internet for some time, which meant that of course I couldn't upload pictures or anything to my blog. Personally I prefer to do my blogging from my laptop rather than another device such as a phone or tablet, I simply find this fits me much better and is easier to navigate. Due to using my camera for many of the pictures I take for the blog, rather than my phone, this of course means that I then need the use of the internet in order to complete my posts. I'm sorry if anybody thought I’d been abducted by aliens or something, but I’m back now, yay! As I promised on Twitter, I will be posting a back log of posts of which have been missed, which means there will be an accumulation of posts firing out from all angles in the coming week.


I hope the absence of Disaster Davis hasn't perturbed anybody too much and I’d like to thank the people who have been contacting me throughout expressing their upset at missing my publishings. It’s always especially heart-warming to know that there’s people of which genuinely enjoy reading what I have to say. Thank you for both your support and patience.

Happiness and exhilaration is in abundance this week due to exciting endeavours and birthday celebrations! I could literally burst! Around a month ago I spoke on the blog about the possibility of getting myself involved in the realm of YouTube, well, guess what happened....




Yes, you're thinking correctly. As of April 1st I decided to launch my new YouTube channel! This is to celebrate my first six months of blogging, a few other bloggers I know have either already got a channel or have plans to start one, therefore I thought I'd join in, it's been something I've had a huge interest in for some time too. This won't alter my blog in any way! Disaster Davis will continue to be my main focus and two uploads a week will still be happening on both a Monday and Thursday. As for YouTube? I'll upload once a week, on a Friday and I'm hoping it will prove to be a fun extension to my blog! Please feel free to view my first video, below! With that snippet of exciting news out of the way, it's now onto the birthday celebrations mentioned above! Today has been the birthday of whom is undoubtedly my favourite person in existence, my Mom. After working, I then spent all day with her and took her out for a lovely meal, she then opened her card and presents from me when we arrived back home and we shall be spending the rest of our evening curled up on the sofa together watching Soaps on catch up whilst having a chilled beverage and stuffing ourselves silly with cake! I now have the next two days off of work, of which I will be spending entirely with my Mom, I can't wait! I hope she's had a day as magical as I have!



Mom, you are the most incredible person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. You are so brave, intelligent, caring and full of compassion, strength and love. You have always done absolutely everything possible for your children, I can never begin to thank you enough for all you have done for and given me. I have seen through a multitude of experiences and you've been there by my side for the duration of each and every one. You are my muse filling me with inspiration and I feel motivated to be the best person I can be, as my most prominent aim is to ensure you always feel pride when thinking of me.

You're my best friend, my confidant, my rock, muse, reason for living and my Mom all wrapped together into one purely beautiful woman. My Nanna brought into the world one incredible creation when giving birth to you. You are a rare gem amidst the less desirable examples in the world. I hope you have an amazing day today, I can't wait to spend my two days off of work indulging in some quality time with my favourite person. My adorable fur babies adore you also, you're a sensational Mother and Grandmother - thank you so much for everything. I love you.

I don't apologise for the soppiness above because it's 100% true and I believe we should all do a little more to express our feelings towards those of which are special to us. On this note I am now going to re-join my Mom and spend what is left of her birthday with her. I will be back as normal on Thursday and until then please remember to check out my channel on YouTube! Welcome! I'm delighted to have you over on my new Blogger blog. I have been with WordPress for a little over five months now and some may find it rather odd that I decided to switch, especially given the fact that it's typically from Blogger to WordPress that people opt for. This just shows that it's each to their own, I guess. What works for some may not for others. With respect to the changes, I have been asked some questions regarding this, alongside other questions pertaining to blogging generally. I therefore thought that it would be a great welcome to my blog to have a short Q&A!
